Main Enterprises' Pulp Fan #7 will salute Walter B. Gibson's The Shadow (aka Lamont Cranston).
My contribution centers on George Jerome Rozen. As Shadow fans know (tee hee), he's the artist most associated with the character's Street & Smith covers, even if his twin brother, Jerome George (get the collocation?) did, in fact, initiate the character's earliest renderings.
For the record, George's works have influenced the stylings of almost all other Shadow conjurers, as well as several Batman and Daredevil designers.
I'm honored to pay homage to this impactful artist. Revisit Bizarrechats for updates.
