LUCIO FULCI: DARK FICTION SNEAK PEEK

I have a story set to appear in Eighth Tower Publishing's Lucio Fulci tribute anthology. (The Dark Fiction contents are to be based on the director's Doors of Death trilogy.) Since publisher Raffaelle Pezzella has shared an online excerpt from my contribution, I figured why not do so here?

And so without further ado, here's the snippet, straight from the Gates of Hell:

Perhaps Father Thomas never had any faith to begin with or simply went through piety’s motions, knowing it would make his sacrifice all the more blasphemous. Then again, maybe he was in league with the witches and devils. They’re said to be buried beneath Dunwich. Whatever the cause, my dear, the sacrifice needed to be significant to open the Gates of Hell. But Mary Woodhouse sensed the danger, and when the moment came, she and her compatriots ventured to plug the portal on the day the invasion was to begin—All Saint’s Day. They succeeded, but alas, certain elements prevailed. Those elements still exist, a recurring malady that refuses to die. The individual you’ve come to know shares the infection, and he knows of Mary Woodhouse, knows what she represents.

I trust that tendril entices. Keep checking Bizarrechats for updates. 💀
