SALLY THE ZOMBIE CHEERLEADER'S SCHOOL OF HORROR: ABBY

For her faithful, fleshy, School of Horror students, Sally the Zombie Cheerleader (accompanied by the sensational SkeleKat) presents one of the grooviest, blaxploitation flicks to spring from the 1970s: the shocking, Exorcist derivative, Abby

This 1974 chiller (sometimes referenced as Nightmare) was directed by William (Grizzly/Day of the Animals/The Manitou) Girdler, written by G. Cornell (The Zebra Killer) Layne and stars William (Blacula/Twilight's Last Gleaming) Marshall, Austin (Battle for the Planet of the Apes/Horror High/3 From Hell) Stoker, Terry (Battlestar Galactica/McCloud) Carter, Juanita (The Mack/Tombstone and Bushrod) Moore and as the accursed Mrs. Abby Williams, the amazing Carol (The Big Bird Cage/Black Samson/Rampage!) Speed, with Bob (The Great Grape Ape Show) Holt supplying Abby's fierce, demonic voice.

Though Abby's gimmick isn't original, it still delivers a steady, frightful stream, unraveling a hard-hitting allegory of good-vs-evil or more precisely, how evil can overcome any devout churchgoer if the atmospheric conditions are right, or make that, wrong.

The sardonic Sally spins the behind-the-scenes details for the presentation, including the fact that Abby almost became a lost film. Indeed, one won't only be entertained by Abby, but one will learn much, thanks to Sally's superb, pedagogical skills.

Check out Sally's School of Horror Presents Abby. You'll enjoy every possessed bump, jolt and regurgitated spurt.
