I've been recruited by Eighth Tower Publishing's CEO, Raffaele Pezzella, to participate in another Dark Fiction anthology. This curation will honor the works of H.R. Giger.
The subject is ideal for me since I'm fond of Giger's designs, in particular those the artist fashioned for Debbie Harry's 1981 KooKoo album.
In addition to a biomechanoid, female element, my fable will use broader, Giger concepts. Such will give my story a futuristic, Frankenstein verve, similar to Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant. The story will also pay homage to H.P. Lovecraft (by obvious, Necronomicon default), Clive Barker's Hellraiser/Cenobite lore and Maurice Hurley's Star Trek/Borg contributions, sprinkled by a demented dash of the notorious Marquis de Sade.
I'll share more on the tale's development, as well as the anthology on the whole, in upcoming posts. Stay plugged in.
