Ron Fortier & Rob Davis return with a new Airship 27 Podcast and in it, acknowledge the passing of New Pulp author, Jaime Ramos.
Ramos' series, Golgotha (a pulp-noir saga featuring the gritty Detective John Normandy), and its in-progress, Airship 27 title, Streets of Golgatha, comprise the focus. The fellows express great lament and fondness for Ramos and his ambitious mythology, which includes conjoining tales by several top, New Pulp writers. (Proceeds from the progressing volume will go to Ramos' widow.)
In addition to their heartfelt commentary, Ron & Rob cover Airship's recent releases: Secret Agent X #1 (a fan-demanded reprint); Edgar Rice Burroughs' Beyond 30 (yet another fan-demanded reprint); I.A. Watson's Sherlock Holmes: The Peril of Paralipomena; and Barbara Doran's Book Hunter's Apprentice (the third in her exotic series).
The guys also promote what's in store: Ron's close-to-print, Brother Bones graphic novel; Ron & Rob's The Boston Bombers #3, Mystery Men & Women #11, Nancy Hansen's Jezabel Johnston #10, my novel, The Persona #3 and The Purple Scar #5, to which I've contributed.
