RIP LYLE WAGGONER
You were almost Batman, but became Steve Trevor (Sr and Jr) on television's "Wonder Woman".
You were often quite comical, as you proved on "The Carol Burnett Show" and in the film, "The Catalina Caper". At the same time, you rubbed elbows with the weird, thrilling and frightening, starring in such endeavors as "Love Me Deadly"; "Dead Women in Lingerie"; "Danger USA"; "Swamp Country"; "Journey to the Center of Time"; and "Wizards of the Demon Sword".
In addition you shined through your many guest-starring appearances, which included "Charlie's Angels"; "The San Pedro Beach Bums"; "Gun Smoke"; "Happy Days"; "Mork and Mindy"; "The Golden Girls"; "The Love Boat"; "Love Boat: the Next Wave"; "Supertrain"; "Murder She Wrote"; "Hardcastle and McCormick"; "Fantasy Island"; and the "Lost in Space" classic, "Deadliest of the Species".
Your dashing looks and personable manner made you a standout, Mr. Waggoner. For generations of television lovers, you were the quintessential celebrity and as such, will prevail as a revered and indelible part of pop-culture infinity.
