FAREWELL, ROBERT CONRAD...
You made the "The Wild Wild West" a phenomenon and your character, Jim West, the stuff of crossover legend.
However, it wasn't only "The Wild Wild West" that made you iconic. There was also "Ba Ba Black Sheep" (aka "The Black Sheep Squadron") and the revered spy saga, "A Man Called Sloan".
Your eclectic television and movie appearances are as prolific as any actor could desire, featuring "77 Sunset Strip"; "Hawaiian Eye"; "Mission: Impossible"; "Columbo"; "Maverick"; 'Mannix"; "Highway Patrol"; "Sea Hunt"; "Colt .45" (as Bill the Kid); "The Lady in Red '79" (as John Dillinger); "Young Dillinger" (as Pretty Boy Floyd); "Thundering Jets"; "Sudden Death '79"; "The Bandits" (as actor and director); "Red Nightmare"; "Wrong is Right"; "Samurai Cowboy": "Murph the Surf"; "Moving Violations"; and the Christmas classic, "Jingle All the Way". (Your Eveready Battery commercials are also worth noting {damn cocky and virile}; your appearances on "Battle of the Network Stars", just as pugnacious.)
You were a giant in the field, often admired and sometimes despised, but always your own man. Beyond any doubt, you leave a legacy that won't only endure, but endlessly inspire.
