RIP DON LUSK...
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"; "Bambi"; "Lady and the Tramp"; "Peter Pan"; "Cinderella"; "101 Dalmatians"; "Sleeping Beauty"; "Alice and Wonderland"; "Song of the South" ... "Pinocchio"--you contributed to these and so many more.
Your animation style was fluid and striking, as evidenced by "Fantasia'"s lively fish dance. Cleo and Figaro became forever endearing to both children and adults because of your graceful hand. In this regard, we have good reason to call old-school Disney classic and why we beg those new, studio kids on the block to pay special attention to your spellbinding style.
You also helped bring to life Walter Lantz's Woody Woodpecker and Chilly Willie, and Hanna-Barbera's Yogi and Atom Ant. And let's not forget the sentimentality and laughs you gave good ol' Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang.
You may have been the last of the greats, Mr. Lusk, but your fruitful work remains as fresh as when it first appeared. Beyond any doubt, you hit the mark of immortality long before you departed this earth...
